A deeply spiritual memoir about how one woman survived the 1994 genocide. It is amazing to read how she came to forgive her killers, even while they were seeking her out. It is also a fabulous reflection on Rwandan culture and Rwandan people.
— Go to the People, Live with them, Love them, Learn from them, Work with them, Start with what they have, Build on what they know, And, in the end, When the work is done, the people will rejoice, And, they will say, “We have done it ourselves.” —

The mission of Wyman Worldwide Health Partners (WWHPS) is to develop a self-sustaining and replicable healthcare delivery system model for rural health centers in Rwanda. We are achieving this through our Comprehensive Community Health Initiatives and Programs (CCHIPs).
Healthcare in Rwanda today is delivered by community health centers which are mini-hospitals with 15-25 inpatient beds, a delivery room, a laboratory and a poorly stocked pharmacy with power, clean water and crude sanitation facilities. The nurses are high school graduates with minimal formal medical training and no systems management experience. The goal is to standardize a self-sustaining, simple and practical business model for these rural health centers.
We are currently working in Northern Rwanda with the Shingiro and Kabere Health Centres and this year we will team up with three additional clinics.
